The Smart Food Chain is a consortium bringing together 50+ companies from 13 EU member states to develop and implement effective smart packaging technologies to restructure conventional food supply chains with the goal of reducing food waste by 20%. AlmaScience is a partner in this pan-European effort headed by AIPIA – the Active and Intelligent Packaging Industry Association –, bringing its expertise in smart, sustainable technologies and solutions in smart packaging in general and supply chain traceability in particular to the table.
