FEMS is a network comprising 27 organizations and boasting over 25,000 members from 22 European countries. Its mission is to promote the dissemination of knowledge in this interdisciplinary field and attain the critical mass required to exert influence at the European level. Additionally, FEMS aims to strengthen collaboration among Materials Scientists and Engineers across Europe, as well as between various European Materials Societies and Member Societies in conjunction with the European Union.
Luís Pereira has an outstanding track record in the field of Materials, currently holding the position of Technical-Scientific Director at AlmaScience. He also serves as the coordinator of the Southern Regional College of Materials at the Order of Engineers, Vice-President of SPM, and Vice-President of TCM-Net. Furthermore, he is a researcher and faculty member at NOVA FCT.
